Honey
I have started to use honey in my routine. It is a humectant. I have started to use it 50/50 with my conditioner. And also a pea-sized drop mixed into my gels.
My hair is starting to feel so much healthier. It's still a little frizzy in the back... but for the most part I like how this method is working.

Even tho I don't have curly hair we do use some of the same products. I use the Suave coconut conditioner and the L'Oreal Leave-in. I recently started using the Burt's Bees conditioner...AMAZING! They sell it at the BX now so good price now, too. I have the same theory as you but I don't want to use those ingredients on my hair just because I don't think they are good for you.
